The HorseShoe Club Casino in Carson City, celebrating its 40th anniversary, has seen and gone through many changes and upgrades over the years.

One of the latest additions at the casino is the purchase of four new pieces of contemporary art. The paintings are on display inside the Lucky Horse Grille. The art was purchased through Jeff Pace, owner and curator of the Artsy Fartsy Gallery on Telegraph Street.

All four pieces of artwork purchased by the HorseShoe Club were created by Nevada Artist Pam Black. A retired teacher, Black is a relatively new artist, painting for only the last four years.

She was first inspired by creating 3-D bulletin boards at her school. After retirement, she took several classes in sketching and different mediums of painting. She discovered she particularly enjoys painting buildings and landscapes appreciating the stability of the subjects.

"I am so privileged to be seen in Nevada venues" said Black, enthusiastically about her work being displayed.

Black has sold 15 of her pieces through Artsy Fartsy Gallery and is very pleased with how Jeff Pace has promoted and sold her artwork.

A spokesperson for the HorseShoe Club said "the art is vibrant and eye catching. Our guests are enjoying the artwork and they have become great conversation pieces to talk about over a good meal."

The work of Pam Black and many other amazing artists can be seen and purchased at Artsy Fartsy Gallery, 220 W. West Telegraph Street.
