The "Jazz and Beyond: Carson City Music Festival" committee is seeking volunteers, sponsors, and program advertisers for the 10th annual festival, August 2-18.
The festival, which began in 2004, is presented by Mile High Jazz Band Association, Carson City, local businesses, and jazz lovers. It features more than 100 world class, regional musicians in over 40 performances and special programs at multiple venues in Carson City’s historic district, near the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Beyond jazz, it includes bluegrass, blues, mariachi, and more.
“Volunteers, sponsors, and advertisers are important aspects of Jazz and Beyond,” said David Bugli, President of the Mile High Jazz Band Association and co-chair of the festival committee. “They help us make the event one of the best in the area, and keep most performances admission free. We are looking for an individual to take on the critical role of Volunteer Coordinator for July 8 to August 24. We also need assistants for short-term assignments during the festival.”
