This week's guest on Women to Women Nevada is Doreen Mack of Carson City who discusses with hostess Carol Paz, among other things, downtown Carson City parking issues, creating a historic downtown, some local history and her own interior decorating business, Lofty Expressions.

Taken from Mack's biography page is the following:

Since 1980 I have been creating beautiful living spaces for my clients, working with skilled artisans and craftsmen to bring you the best the industry has to offer - from faux painting, murals, unique flooring, furniture and furniture placement, accent lighting, window treatments and accessories. I also have an exclusive series of wallpaper borders that are timeless, dating from 1890 to 1910, and authenticated by The Smithsonian Institution. All of my design creations, from art glass valances to custom shower handles, can be viewed here on my website.

I have worked on many of the Historic Homes in the Carson City, including the interior of the Bliss Mansion, The Bougher Bath Mansion and others. My work has been featured in "Victorian Homes" and "Visions" Magazines, as well as many local publications.

Throughout my travels in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Italy, I bring you ideas to create an array of different design styles from simple to very extravagant.

I had a design segment on Channel 4, where I presented design styles from my clients homes.

Beyond the design aspects, what I really enjoy about my work is the challenge of matching my clients' personality, taste, and lifestyle with the right design. I get to know my clients very well and have formed many life-long relationships. I'm there to guide you and offer you options that come from years of experience, knowledge and a passion for excellence in all that I do.

Women to Women Nevada is televised on Charter Media every Thursday at 7 pm on Channel 3 (Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Fallon, Lake Tahoe) and 15 (in Carson City, Gardnerville, Dayton).  The locally produced and privately owned program features Northern Nevada women who are making a difference in their communities and in the region.

The interview style of Women to Women allows for an open discussion on the personal and professional challenges that each guest has been faced with and how she has worked through such struggles. The goal of the program is to offer women hope, support and encouragement as they face their own difficulties.

Guests range in ages as well as circumstances and come from different cultures, religions, traditions, educational levels and professional achievements. The common thread is that they are willing to share their lives with others in the hope that what they have found and learned can be of benefit to others.

Paz, of Carson City is herself a product of deep changes and growth. Skillfully directing the unscripted discussion, she not only intends to bring out the best in her guests, but to offer insights from her own life. It is evident that Carol respects a genuine conversation that brings help to others.

Viewer participation is encouraged by sending comments to be read on the program if selected.  Please mail thoughts to Women to Women, PO Box 4675, Carson City, NV 89702 or send to WomenofNevada@gmail.com. You can also follow Carol on the Women to Women Nevada Facebook page by going here and hitting the "like" button.
