Carson City firefighters responded early Saturday evening to a fire at the Carson City Inn, in the 1900 block of North Carson Street. At least one person was injured.
Evacuation of the complex was in place soon after firefighters arrived when it was reported at 5:41 p.m. Flames and smoke were coming from the building as firefighters arrived, with a smoke plume coming from stairwells near the point of origin, according firefighters on scene.
One person was taken by ambulance to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.
Multiple fire crews, including those outside of Carson City responded to what firefighters called a "working fire." Investigators were also called.
Carson Street had been re-routed because of the fire. All traffic in both directions resumed at 6:27 p.m.
