Today marks the one-year anniversary of Murphy's hit and run accident on Highway 50 in Mound House.
He is so full of energy and life that it is impossible to tell that his pelvis was shattered in the accident. The love he received from the community during his recovery, he gives back daily.
Again, I want to thank those involved in his rescue and recovery; the people who helped him roadside, Margie and the staff at Lone Mountain Veterinary Hospital, Lorayn from Dog Town Canine Rescue, and his foster mom, Susanne.
Choosing to stop that day to help Murphy, expanded my community in ways that I could not have imagined at the time. I am grateful to be a part of a community that cares so much for its members; furry and non-furry alike.
