Paulina Urantowska-Torres has been promoted to the position of Compliance Specialist for the Nevada Rural Housing Authority’s Home at Last department.
Her primary focus will be processing the Mortgage Credit Certificate files for NRHA and to support the agency’s new partnership with NHD for MCCs in the Reno and Las Vegas areas, according to a news release.
She has been with the NRHA since 2012, when she was hired as a Management Assistant. She was promoted to Special Projects Coordinator in May 2013. Before joining NRHA, she served as a Long-Term Financing Specialist for the Treasury Department of BRE Bank Hipoteczny in Warsaw, Poland.
She earned dual masters degrees in management and finance/accounting from Warsaw School of Economics in Poland, where she did her thesis on “The influence of the 2007 – 2009 subprime mortgage crisis on the economy of the United States of America.” She also completed a program study at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, IL in business and management.
