A 79-year-old motorcyclist was flown by Care Flight on Friday morning after colliding with a horse in the area of State Route 341 and Industrial in Lyon County, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at 7:46 a.m. The injuries the man sustained are unknown at this time. The horse fled after being hit, said NHP Trooper David Gibson.
The state route was reopened after Care Flight landed and the motorcycle was removed.
Meanwhile, Lyon County fire and rescue teams and NHP were dispatched to a vehicle accident with injuries in the area of Highway 50 and Ramsey in Silver Springs. The accident was reported at 8:51 a.m. It is unknown at this time how many were injured and the number of vehicles were involved. Check back later for any updates.
