Dust off your boots, grab your hat, saddle up, and come on down Friday and Saturday in Carson City for two events to help change lives for hungry children in our community — one meal at a time.
Food for Thought is a Carson City nonprofit whose mission is to provide nutritious meals to chronically hungry school children in our community.
During the school year Food for Thought provides a weekend bag of food to over 850 school children on Fridays so they can have food during the weekend and come back to school Monday nourished and ready to learn. During the Summer months Food for Thought provides a free lunch to children ages 2-18 at a local park Monday-Friday.
