UPDATE: 3:50PM: A motorcycle rider on a dirt bike was injured in a crash north of C-Hill in the Voltaire Canyon area. A Care Flight air ambulance was dispatched and landed near the site of the accident.
The injured 52-year-old rider told Carson City dispatch and a deputy who arrived at the scene that he was suffering from back pain, possible lung injuries and was having difficulty breathing. The accident happened at about 3 p.m.
Carson City Sheriff's deputies and emergency crews were able to get to the location after finding the man who was communicating with dispatch, explaining his location. He was found about three miles from a paved road in an area of rough terrain.
The injured rider told a deputy and emergency personnel that he was in extreme pain with injuries to his back, right shoulder, lungs and was bleeding from the nose and mouth.
A Care Flight landed near the site and was to transport the injured rider.
