SB374 initially appeared to fail the required two-thirds majority vote on the final day of the legislative session to the extent that Democratic lawmakers cast no votes so the measure would be reconsidered later on. However, that was not the case; the confusion was caused by a glitch on the board that shows the Assembly’s ‘yea’ and ‘nay’ tally.
Assembly Majority Leader William Horne took to Twitter to clear up the confusion on why he voted against a bill that he’d supported in the past.

The Assembly then voted on the bill a second time, passing it 28-14.
SB374 now heads to the Senate for a final vote, to adopt amendments added to the bill in the Assembly. If approved, it will then go to Gov. Brian Sandoval to be signed.
