Sen. Ruben Kihuen posted this photo to his Twitter on May 31, 2013, saying that he was grateful to Gov. Sandoval for his support.
On Friday, Gov. Brian Sandoval signed into law a bill that allows illegal U.S. immigrants to legally drive in Nevada. The bill will take effect in January 2014.
As Sandoval signed SB303 in his crowded Carson City office, he said that the bill “is not about politics.”
“This is about making roads safer,” Sandoval said. “The driver privilege cards will allow someone to drive, but not to be used for identification purposes. This is good for everybody.”
