Dirty Dozen Dominate the Dirt Divas in Carson Girls U10 Softball Action

In the U10 girls softball 2nd/3rd place playoff game at Edmonds Field on Tuesday night, the the Carson Jeep Dodge Chrysler, Inc. Dirty dominated the Michael Hohl Motor Co./Shawn Nolan Painting Dirt Divas with a 15-2 victory. The Dirty Dozen earned a shot at the 1st place Ameriwade.com Krushinators in the title game scheduled Friday, May 31st at 6pm.

The Dirty Dozen pitching was superbly handled by: Dominique Salciedo – 2 runs, no hits, 5 walks and 5 strikeouts and Amaya Mendeguia – no runs, 1 hit, 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Pitching for the Dirt Divas were: Abby Golik – 7 runs, 3 hits, 7 walks, 2 strikeouts, Jocelyn Foster – 4 runs, no hits, 4 walks and 1 strikeout, and, Shannen vonDuering – 4 runs, 1 hit, 7 walks, 4 strikeouts.

Producing offensively for the Dirty Dozen were: Lauren Hawkins – 2 runs, Brenna Ailes – 1 hit, 1 run, Grace Miller- 1 hit, 1 run, Alex Salciedo – a single, a double, 2 runs, 4 rbi, Chloe Wallis – 1 run, Amaya Mendeguia – 1 run, Dominique Salciedo – 2 runs, Amelia Gladys – 1 run, Makayla Mueller – 2 runs, 1 rbi, Hailee Bauman – 1 run, 1 rbi, and Heidi – 1 run, 2 rbi. The Dirt Divas only offense came from: Jocelyn Foster -1 hit, Abby Golik – 1 run, and Eviana McGowan – 1 run.

The Dirt Divas finished the season with a 7-7 record. The girls and coaching staff would like to thank Michael Hohl Motor Co. and Shawn Nolan Painting for sponsoring the team. The coaches, Heather Hawkins-Fancher, Holly Hawkins, Angela Golik and Eric Fancher would like thank the families of the players for their support and assistance this season.
