CARSON CITY — Hundreds of people showed up last week to pay tribute to Carson City’s finest — who along with AAA’s renowned roadside assistance program — come to the rescue for local citizens every day.
AAA handed the Carson City Fire and Sheriff’s Department a $2,500 check each to pay for public education materials and the K9 unit, respectively.
“(We) will use it there (as) a way to give back,” said Tom Tarulli of the Carson City Fire Department.
In addition, Friday’s event brought out officials and the mascot for the Reno Aces. AAA sponsors the minor league baseball team.
“AAA has a had a long lasting relationship working first hand with the first responders in the communities that we serve,” AAA Carson City Branch Manager Scott Parker said.
