The Young Dubliners are coming to Carson City. The popular band will perform on Wednesday, May 29 at the High Sierra Brewing Company at 8 p.m.
Advance tickets are $12.00 and includes one High Sierra 16oz beer. Tickets are also available at the door for $15.00. The show is produced by John Procaccini and ChiliBop Entertainment Group.
The Young Dubliners could be called Celtic rock's hardest working band, playing hundreds of shows to thousands of fans across the US and Europe every year. In recent years they have twice appeared on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, had songs featured in TV shows (Sons Of Anarchy, Human Target) and toured extensively as a headliner and as the opener for such a diverse list of artists as The Flaming Lips, Collective Soul, Jethro Tull, Johnny Lang and many more.
While the Young Dubliners sound is often referred to as Celtic Rock, lead singer Keith Roberts says that’s misleading.
"The sound was always intended to be a hybrid because we all come from different backgrounds. Even though two of us are from Ireland, a lot of the music we listened to growing up wasn't Irish at all, but when we got here, we got homesick and developed a new appreciation for Irish music.”
High Sierra Brewing Company owner Jim Phalan is looking forward to the show.
“We can't believe that the Young Dubliners are playing a gig at our Brewery,” he said adding “we are so excited not only for us but for our customers to have the opportunity to listen to this great band.”
Tickets are available at High Sierra Brewing Company, 302 N. Carson Street in Carson City or online at www.highsierrabrewco.com.
