On April 27th approximately 80 entrants competed in the Annual Geocache Adventure to help raise funds for the purchase of improved radio equipment for the unit. Entrants of all ages, using GPS and maps competed in a modern day treasure hunt in various public areas of Carson City.
Participants located tokens that were redeemed for poker hands and prizes at Bully’s after the event.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit is a highly trained, all volunteer organization that serves at the direction of the Carson City Sheriff’s Department. Available 24/7 the unit assists with lost person searches, swift water rescue, evidence recovery, back country and urban searches in Carson City and neighboring communities.
