Scattered showers and afternoon thunderstorms are possible for the Carson City region over the next several days as unsettled weather moves through the area.
The best chance of thunderstorms in the Carson City area will come Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Reno. In the Sierra, snow showers are possible at the higher elevations Monday night.
For Sunday, Carson City should see cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of some precipitation with a high around 66. As the unsettled air moves in, the high temperatures will come down some. Monday's high is expected to be 60, Tuesday around 58 and Wednesday, 64. There's a slight chance of thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday.
