Enrollment at Nevada Performance Academy, a Nevada tuition free charter school in Carson City that will serve grades 7-12, begins Wednesday. In an effort to ensure high quality teaching and learning, and because of predicted space constraints, the Academy will limit first-year enrollment in the blended components of its academic program, which is face-to-face instruction and participation in extracurricular classes.

Enrollment is limited to 24 students per grade level. Enrollment is on a first-come basis. Students wishing to work exclusively online and/or attend Western Nevada College for dual credit do not have enrollment limits.

Within a free, public charter school, qualified teachers and performance mentors create academic and extracurricular programs centered on teamwork and participation, delivering a bright and uplifting school culture.

Project-based learning through the visual, performing, literary, digital, and fine arts informs and structures student learning in language, civics, science, technology, design, and math. This builds critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and relevant workforce skills, as well as stand-out college readiness.

Students adeptly toggle between virtual and face-to-face instruction, which models the 21st century workplace. And, our Performance Series of electives allow students to earn academic credit for the performing they do outside of school as well.

The three partnerships in the Academy are the Brewery Arts Center, Western Nevada College and the Carson City Library.

See the video below on the Performance Academy. Go to the website for more information and see the enrollment form below.
