Carson City Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Stan Jones is pleased to announce the 2013-14 Board of Directors and Officers.
Re-elected to a second three year term are Curt Spradley, owner, Carson Coffee and Carol Swanson, District Sales for Mary Kay.
Bob Tote, general manager of Costco Carson City, is new to the board and will serve a three-year term.
Gordon Gagnon, co-owner REDCO, and Joyce Whitney-Silva, COO of Greater Nevada Credit Union, have been selected to serve their first three year term advancing from a one-year Chairman’s pick slot.
Paula Guzman of Nevada Health Centers is the Chairman’s pick for a one-year term.
In other action, the Executive Committee has chosen Carol Swanson to move up to the Executive Committee serving as secretary/treasurer.
Lisa Stirgus, Vice President & District Manager of Wells Fargo has moved up the ranks to become Chairman of the Board.
AARP’s Gil Yanuck advances to First Vice Chair and Terrie McNutt becomes Second Vice Chair. Past Chair Court Cardinal is leaving the board and current chair Stan Jones becomes Past Chair to round out the five-member Executive Committee.
Also finishing out their terms are: Lori Bagwell, Charley’s Grilled Subs; Peter Fishburn, Brown & Bigelow; Collie Hutter, Click Bond, Inc.; Lisa Lee, Advocates to End Domestic Violence; Dr. Carol Lucey, Western Nevada College; Margie Quirk, Lone Mountain Veterinary Hospital; Richard Stokes, Carson City School District; Chris Utley, Geeks of Nevada.
The newly elected board will begin their terms of office beginning July 1, 2013. The Chamber’s Annual Meeting will be held on June 28, 2013 at the Silver Oak Executive Conference Center following the annual golf tournament to benefit CHS ProStart.
