There will be a ceremony, followed by a cocktail reception with hosted wine and beer bar, to announce the winners of the Carson Memories contest. The winners will remain secret until the ceremony.
The event will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 5:30 – 6:30 pm on the second floor outside the banquet rooms at the Carson Nugget in Carson City.
Three winners will receive prizes outlined below.
1st place-$500 cash.
2nd place-iPad.
3rd place-Kindle Fire.
Honorable mentions will also be announced.
The Carson Memories contest asked participants to submit their favorite photos showing something special and/or distinct about the Carson City area that could include its history, traditions, community, celebrities, buildings, trends, places, or people.
Selected photos will become a part of a mural exhibit being created by Gardnerville artist, Beverly Caputo at the Carson Nugget.
Caputo will be on hand for the announcement ceremony to sign specially designed silk screened T-shirts depicting her mural paintings.
