Two Carson City residents working on a project for the 7th annual CASI Bark, Whine and Dine set for Sunday, July 27 at Fuji Park have gotten a rare gift donation from the Nevada Governor's Office.
Volunteers Adrianne S. Harris and George M. Allen asked Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval if he could provide a signed autograph on something that can be sold at the silent auction. The governor agreed and his secretary presented the volunteers a limited edition 12-inch by 14-inch print by Reno artist Roy Powers. The print is of the Governor's mansion.
Seeing that the print needed a frame, Harris called Janis Jobe, owner at the Lone Tree Frame Company and Gallery in Minden and asked if she could donate a frame for the auction. Jobe agreed and a frame is being made for the print.
The 7th annual CASI Bark Whine and Dine barbecue is Sunday, July 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.friendsofcasi.org or see them on the Facebook page here. You can also order tickets by calling (775) 671-2413.
Music will be provided by Jake Houston and the food catered by Foodies Bystro and High Tea with dessert by Carson City Confections.
