Legends of the West Bike and Car Fest returns to Carson City today through Saturday. The motorcycle and car festival features events, contests, live entertainment, a show and shine, breakfast, raffles and awards. The show brings thousands of motorcycle and car enthusiasts to Carson City annually.
Featured again this year will be the Carson City Sheriff's Office Extreme Motor Officer Training Challenge. The 11th annual event will begin on Friday with highly skilled motor officers from across the country competing for top honors.

Road closures will occur from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. Parking is encouraged along Curry Street. The following roads will be closed and detours will be signed:
· Carson Street from Robinson Street to Telegraph Street (Friday).
· Carson Street from Robinson Street to Fifth Street (Saturday).
· Telegraph Street from Curry Street to Fall Street (Friday and Saturday).
· Spear Street from Curry Street to Carson Street (Friday and Saturday).
· Fall Street from Telegraph Street to Spear Street (Friday and Saturday).
If you have never witnessed this competition, it is fascinating and exciting in a hold-your-breath sort of way. Saturday is the main Show and Shine for both bikes and cars with plenty of food and drink, music and fun for the entire family.
