The Simon family in Moundhouse has adopted 21 special needs children over the last 30-plus years, and they have finally reached a point where they are able to add on much needed bedrooms and fully handicapped equipped bathrooms to their existing home.
The family is looking for donations of labor, materials, etc so they can get this completed before the new school year starts.
"We finally got to a point where needed to expand and do an addition. We are adding on four bedrooms and two handicap bathrooms," said Merrill Simon.
The family is well known in Lyon County, Carson City and Washoe County for adopting and advocating for special needs children and adoption.
