UPDATE: A suspect in a Friday morning bank robbery at Lake Tahoe was taken into custody in Carson City after being located by the Carson City Sheriff's Office, authorities said.
The suspect, Brent Muir, 55, of Carson City, was found by Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Mike Cullen after a vehicle pursuit by the FBI, Nevada Highway Patrol, Douglas County, Washoe County and Placer County, Calif., law officers.
Cullen located Muir attempting to get into a vehicle at Fairview and Idaho streets shortly before 10 a.m. The suspect is believed to have robbed the Plumas Bank Friday morning in Kings Beach, Placer County, Calif., said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
No one was injured in the bank robbery, a Plumas Bank official said.
There had been a vehicle pursuit off of Highway 50 Spooner Summit earlier but the vehicle was lost when officers scaled back due to high speeds. Officers set up areas around Carson City to watch for the vehicle and that's when Cullen found the suspect.
Muir faces multiple charges including robbery, felony eluding, reckless driving and driving without a license. He had recently been in prison, according to identification documents found in his possession.
