Longtime Nevada Assembly Speaker Joe Dini dies

Former Assembly Speaker Joe Dini of Yerington, who presided over the Assembly for a record eight terms in a career that began in 1967, died Thursday.

News of Dini’s death was announced at a meeting of the Legislature’s Interim Finance Committee.
