Carson Tahoe Cardiology’s new Reno office at 6880 South McCarran Boulevard, Suite 4 is now open and serving patients. The new location is fully staffed and supported by seven cardiologists and three physician assistants.
The office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
“We have been serving Reno patients looking for quality cardiology alternatives for several years,” said Dr. David Baker. “It is great to provide them with the convenience of our new location and we are excited to be able to offer our services to more of our new neighbors.”
The Reno office is equipped to perform electrocardiogram (EKG) tests to diagnose problems with the electrical activity of the heart. In addition, the office provides echocardiograms which produce an image of the heart using sound waves. This allows the cardiologist to see how the heart is pumping blood and can identify abnormalities in the heart muscle and valves. Patients who undergo these diagnostic tests in an outpatient setting, rather than a hospital facility with expensive overhead costs, pay lower prices and can take advantage of quick and convenient access to services.
Carson Tahoe Cardiology is the only practice in northern Nevada supported by a five-star rated heart program. The group includes three interventional cardiologists who are the only physicians in northern Nevada that regularly perform radial (wrist) access heart catheterizations. Studies have demonstrated this option to be safer, less invasive, and require less recovery time than the traditional femoral access approach.
