Protest Against Common Core

"Eye on US Education" will be holding a rally opposing Common Core simultaneously in at least 13 states on Saturday 4/05/2014 at 11:00 AM.

The rally in Carson City will be held in front of the Legislature Building on Carson Street at 4th & 5th. Bring lots of signs and posters.

Common Core is a new standard intended to change the purpose, content and

methodology of K-12 education. It is coming to public, charter, private and home schools. There is no escape; textbooks, the SAT and the ACT will be “common core compliant.” State and federal departments of education are using "Every Child Left Behind" and "Race To The Bottom" grants to push it. Common Core is one of the pillars of 0bamaʼs “fundamental transformation.”

In previous years we had managed to get great turn-outs for a Tax Day rally or a Second Amendment rally. COMMON CORE IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN BOTH OF THOSE COMBINED. If the next generation is mis-educated and de-educated, all is lost.
