The Carson City Rainbow Girls announce their Spring Strut 5K race. Join us at Riverview Park on the first Saturday morning of spring, March 22 at 7 a.m. All runners get a t-shirt and in addition there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers for men and women. All children will get a free Kids Meal at Buffalo Wild Wings.
The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-12. Children under 6 run for free with a paid adult. You can register online at Active.com or the day of the race.
The International Order of Rainbow for Girls is a service organization for girls between the ages of 11 and 20. Our girls are active in our community supporting causes like CASI, Carson City Jazz Festival, FISH, and the Salvation Army. In addition to learning the value of service, Rainbow girls are taught to organize and execute events like this 5K run.
