A 50-year-old Zephyr Cove woman faces a charge of open murder after allegedly shooting and killing her husband.
Tatiana Leibel, was taken into custody by Douglas County Sheriff's Office Tuesday morning, said Sgt. Pat Brooks.
On Sunday, Feb 23, 2014 at 11 a.m., the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to 452 Kent Way, Zephyr Cove for a report of a male who had shot himself.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and met with Tatiana Leibel who stated her husband, Harry Leibel, 64, had shot himself. Tatiana stated she and Harry were the only people in or at the house at the time of the incident.
During the subsequent investigation, information was developed to implicate Tatiana as a suspect. A warrant of arrest for open murder was issued and Tatiana was taken into custody at 8:50 am Tuesday morning. Tatiana has a no bail hold against her, said Brooks.
