The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating three robberies of convenient stores that have suspect similarities, the latest on Sunday at Eagle Valley Market, which was also robbed on Jan. 18.
In a Jan. 3 robbery, the male suspect, race unknown, described as 5 foot, nine inches tall with a skinny build wearing a black knit cap, a bandana covering the face, black hoodie zip up sweatshirt, a grey under shirt, and dark colored pants entered the 7-Eleven store at 3838 Hwy 50 East at around 4:23 a.m.
The suspect approached the counter and pried the cash drawer open and removed the tray containing $100 in assorted denominations and ran out of the store, according to Capt. Ken Sandage.
On Jan. 18, an unknown race male, wearing dark colored pants, a black long sleeve hooded sweatshirt with a white in color t-shirt over it entered the Eagle Valley Market at 933 Woodside #105 at 6:50 p.m. The suspect walked directly to the cash register where he removed it from the counter and ran away with it. The cash register had approximately $500 in assorted denominations.
Again on Sunday at 6:53 p.m. an unknown race male, wearing a white hooded jacket, white bandana covering the face, blue jeans, displaying a crow bar ran inside the store towards the front counter at Eagle Valley Market at 933 Woodside #105. The suspect grabbed the cash register and attempted to remove it.
The suspect then ran out the store without the cash register after employees chased him. The suspect’s outer jacket was discarded not too far from the store. The jacket brand is a Burton ski/snowboarding.
