A 22-year-old Douglas County woman is missing and authorities are asking for the public's help in finding her.
Katherine Kahler’s family has not heard from her in the last three weeks, and they say her disappearance is not like her, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Kahler's sister told the Douglas County Sheriff's Office that she spoke with Katherine daily until approximately three weeks prior to the initial report, and now her phone has been turned off, said Sgt. Pat Brooks.
The missing woman is known to drive a 1994 Toyota pickup. On Monday a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle and check the welfare, however the vehicle sped away and was abandoned on tribal property.
Based on information obtained during the initial investigation, it is believed Kahler is associating with or in the presence of a male acquaintance.
