
The Carson/Storey 4-H Council held their Annual Awards Night on Jan. 26, 2014. The event was conducted in the Fuji Park Pavilion. Members of the Silver Sage 4-H Community Club served as emcees.
Youth and leaders of the following clubs received recognition for their number of years in a project: Arrowhead Livestock, Bouncing Bunnies, Bug Huggers, Carson Cluckers, Carson Hot Shots, Comstock Hot Shots, 4-Paws, Silver Sage 4-H Community Club (SSCC), 4-H Sewing Project, and the Target Rippers.
The following youth were recognized for their record keeping and projects, all received County Medals in Leadership, Creative Arts and Community Service: Bryar Fancher(SSCC), Courtney Green(SSCC), Rylan Fancher(SSCC) and Nora Streng(SSCC).
Special Awards were given for: Project Leader Service Award – Kyle Russell(Bouncing Bunnies), Sarah Anderson (4-Paws Dog Club), Kelly Figueroa (4-Paws Dog Club), Teen Leader Service Award – Shelby Patterson (Bouncing Bunnies), Nora Streng SSCC & Bouncing Bunnies), Resource Leader Award – Wally Reed (Carson Hot Shots), Danforth “I Dare You” Leadership Award - Nora Streng (SSCC & Bouncing Bunnies), Outstanding Leader of the Year – Geoff Landry (Target Rippers), Teen Leader of the Year – Micah Davis()Carson Hot Shots) and Nora Streng (SSCC & Bouncing Bunnies).
