A Gardnerville woman was booked into Carson City Jail on Tuesday with felony warrants for her arrest on suspicion of grand larceny. Sunshine Dawn Workman, 38, was booked into jail at 4:10 p.m. with a bail amount of $17,500.
The Category C felony grand larceny warrant was issued out of Carson City Justice Court on Sept. 5, 2013. A second warrant for a theft charge out of Douglas County's East Fork Township Justice Court was issued Dec. 6, 2013.

A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 5:36 p.m., in the 3200 block of Market Street on suspicion of possessing dangerous prescription drugs without a prescription, a gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor larceny.
According to the arrest report officers responded to the Walmart on Market Street to meet with loss prevention about a theft where a the woman took a shopping cart full of items out of the store, passing all points of payment without attempting to pay.
The woman was arrested. While searching her purse a deputy found a bottle of prescription pills that belonged to a name other than hers, the arrest report states. The prescription bottle contained several small white pills marked with MYLAN 457, which are Lorazepam 1mg, a schedule 4 controlled substance. Bail: $2,847.
— A 43-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 8:16 a.m. in the area of Division and Pine View Way. She faces a misdemeanor charge of battery. Bail: $1,137
— A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 5:27 p.m. in the 500 block of North Carson Street. She faces a misdemeanor charge of larceny after allegedly stealing several items of jewelry at Kohl's in the 3800 block of South Carson Street.
According to the arrest report, surveillance video shows the woman, wearing a black sweatshirt and short black skirt, and a male companion, going through multiple boxes of costume jewelry. As they searched through the boxes the female is clearly seen putting at least four rings on her fingers, the arrest report states. The camera follows the pair as they pay for one of the rings and then leave the store without attempting to pay for the four rings on the woman's fingers.
The woman was confronted in the parking lot by loss prevention who requested they return to the store. The woman, who was holding a ring box, told store security that she paid for everything and denied the theft. Store security took the box from the woman and requested they return to the store. The woman shouted at her male friend to get in the car and told store security: "No, we are not doing this," the arrest report states.
Store security advised the woman was wearing an employee badge from a local casino. After closer inspection of the video, the arresting deputy determined the woman was wearing a cocktail waitress uniform.
Officers arrived at the parking lot of the woman's place of employment. She was detained and then read her Miranda rights and she agreed to speak. She at first denied stealing anything from Kohl's, saying she purchased a ring and took nothing else, the arrest report states.
The officer explained that she was on a very clear video system that showed her putting four rings on her fingers then leaving the store without paying.
The woman's protests of innocence turned to pleas of mercy, saying she didn't know why she had stole the items from the store, that she was trying to turn her life around and was concerned about losing her job. The combined value of the rings amounts to $99.96, according to the arrest report. Bail: $347.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
