Assemblyman Pete Livermore won't seek re-election

In a statement today, Assemblyman Pete Livermore, who represents Carson City in the Nevada Legislature, submitted the following to Carson Now:

"Assemblyman Pete Livermore announces that he will not seek re-election to Assembly District 40 which he has held for the past two sessions. It is his intention to provide time for himself and his family as the campaign time becomes much more demanding. It has been a privilege and an honor to have served this community, not only as an Assemblyman but also as a City Supervisor. With the filing on the horizon, I would like to give an opportunity and time for others to consider this elected seat."
