The Carson City Sheriff’s Office conducted a saturation patrol Friday. Officers issued 22 citations for various traffic violations and one vehicle was towed because the driver had a revoked license, said Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
Many drivers contacted during the saturation patrol stated that they knew about it because of media releases and chose not to drink and drive.
The purpose of these events is to help keep Carson City roadways safe from impaired and unsafe drivers. The saturation patrol was along Carson, Saliman, 5th and Williams streets.
