Woman booked into Carson City jail on child neglect, endangerment warrant

A 30-year-old Modesto, Calif., woman was booked into Carson City Jail Thursday, Dec. 12 on a gross misdemeanor warrant charge of child neglect or endangerment and three misdemeanor charges of contempt of court, failure to appear.

The warrant charges were issued out of Carson City Justice Court on June 18 and June 26, 2013. Bail: $4,500.

In other arrests:
A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, Dec. 12, 12:45 a.m. in the 1800 block of Camille. He faces a misdemeanor warrant charge of contempt of court. The warrant was issued Oct. 11, 2013 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $724.

— A 21-year-old Fallon man was arrested Thursday, Dec. 12, 11:57 p.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence.

According to the arrest report, a Carson City sheriff's officer past patrolling Saliman Road when he observed a vehicle without a broken taillight. He pulled the car over and upon contact with the driver observed he had slow, slurred speech. The officer asked for his driver's license, registration and proof of insurance.

Because of the man's speech the officer asked the man if he had anything to drink The man replied he had not. He was asked if he would participate in Standard Field Sobriety tests to which the man agreed, the arrest report states.

The man showed signs of impairment on all the tests. he agreed to give a breath sample, which resulted above a .08. He was taken to jail where he said he would not complete a blood or breath test. A telephonic search warrant was granted for the test, in which two samples of his right arm were taken. Bail: $1,209.

Those arrested are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
