Man jailed for disorderly conduct after yelling obscenities, making threats inside movie theater

A 46-year-old transient was arrested early Thursday morning in the 500 block of North Stewart Street in Carson City.

The man faces a misdemeanor charge of destruction of property after allegedly throwing a rock through a window of an apartment after being asked to leave because he was too intoxicated, according to the arrest report.

The man told Carson City Sheriff's deputies that he threw the rock because he was angry for being tossed out into the cold. He was arrested at 1 a.m. Bail: $637.

— A 51-year-old homeless man was arrested Wednesday, 9:07 p.m. in the 4000 block of South Curry Street. He faces a charge of disorderly conduct.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a movie theater where the man was sleeping in the lobby. Carson City Fire Department arrived on scene first, where the man attempted to fight with them, yelling expletives and making threats to firefighters, the arrest report states.

The theater manager told officers he saw the man sleeping in the lobby. The man then began to scream obscenities as a children's movie ended and kids exited the theater.

The man blew a .17 preliminary breath test. He was taken to jail on suspicion of disorderly conduct. While driving to the detention facility, the arresting officer noted the man made numerous threats directed at him. Bail: $217.

Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
