A 49-year-old Carson City woman arrested Wednesday faces misdemeanor charges of petit larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the arrest report, deputies with the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team were conducting a business check at a casino in the 3600 block of Goni Road at around 6 p.m. Dec. 4.

Casino management pointed to a woman and stated they thought she was under the influence of methamphetamine. The woman was sitting at a slot machine and moving around rapidly as she played, the arrest report states.

An officer met with the woman and identified himself. The woman gave the officer her identification and it was checked for warrants. Dispatch advised the woman had a confirmed warrant from Carson City Justice Court for petit larceny, the arrest report states. The warrant was issued Sept. 13, 2013.

The woman was arrested and taken to the detention facility. During the intake search a knife and two small baggies were located in the woman's bra. One baggie had a white residue similar to methamphetamine. The woman denied using methamphetamine. The baggie with residue was tested and came back positive for methamphetamine.

There was not enough residue to charge the woman with possession of a controlled substance. She was instead charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and the outstanding warrant charge. Bail: $3,132.
