Arrangements for a visit from Santa on Christmas Eve can now be made, thanks to the Carson City Sheriff's Office Reserve Organization.
For more than 20 years, good cheer and the giving of presents will be the order of the special evening, including plenty of keepsake photo opportunities of Santa and kids for those moments to remember.
Carson City residents who would like Santa to visit their home can call 775-887-2020, extension 45005 for details. Leave a message with Santa's elves providing your name, address, phone number, location of gifts, the number of children in the home and the approximate time you would like Santa to visit.
Santa's hours on Christmas Eve will be between 5 and 9 p.m.; visits may vary 30 minutes on either side of the request time. The Santa hotline will be available through Dec. 21, 2013. Santa visits are limited to the first 150 homes.
As always, any and all donations are greatly appreciated by the Carson City Sheriff's Reserve Organization. Proceeds are used to offset the costs of uniforms, training and duty gear.
