At that last BOS meeting, a majority vote (Crowell, Abowd & Bonkowski) had approved the agenda item to revitalize all corridors, and build the MAC & Animal Shelter. However, after the vote staff had been directed not to pursue this as it was felt the votes would not be forthcoming when it came back to the Board.
The presumption of how the Board will or will not vote on the agenda item when it is returned can not derail the process from which was previously voted on and approved. In this case staff by the majority vote had been directed to bring back to the Board these projects as detailed and approved in the agenda item.
Regardless of how I voted, I must have some sense that any future votes I cast whether in the majority or minority simple cannot be casted aside.
