Carson City fire and rescue crews responded Thursday afternoon to a report of a two-vehicle accident up Spooner in the westbound lane of Highway 50. The accident was reported at 3:52 p.m.
There have been numerous reports of spin-outs along Spooner where it is snowing with icy, slick conditions. As of 2:29 p.m., there are chains or snow tires required on Highway 50 between 9 miles east of Nevada/California state line and 8 miles west of Highway 395. Chains or snow tires are also required over State Route 207 Kingsbury Grade.
Light snow should continue though Thursday night with sunny skies on Friday.
