Time to dig out the blades from the garage, lace them up and head to downtown Carson City for a frosty, icy wintertime tradition.
The Arlington Square Ice Rink will skate its way into the 2013-2014 season beginning Friday, Nov. 29. The facility is located at the corner of North Carson Street and West Robinson Street across from the Carson Nugget. The facility offers skate rentals, a warming tent, snacks and beverages and plenty of thrills for the family.
Skate sessions are:
Monday through Thursday, 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.Fridays 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.
Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.
Sundays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
Admission and skate rentals are $7 for ages 13 and older, $5 for youth ages 3 to 12. Skate rentals are $3.
After school skating will be Monday through Thursday, 3 to 5 p.m. The skate is designed for elementary and middle school students, costs $5 which includes skate rental and a hot beverage of choice.
Family skate nights will be Tuesday nights, 6 to 9 p.m. The cost is $5 per and must include one skating parent.
Punch passes are also available.
— A 10 visit punch pass costs $70 for adults, $56 for youth.
— A 15 visit punch pass costs $98 for adults, $78 for youth.
— A 20 visit punch pass is $120 for adults, $96 for youth.

Heated Tent: The Arlington Square Ice Rink tent provides a 20 foot by 30 foot, 600 square feet heated space for group outings, parties, and special events or just for friends and family. Private tent rental during regular hours of operation and skating with the public is available. The cost is $50 (2) hours includes a discounted skating w/skates ($5) for up to 60 skaters.
