The Carson City Historical Society and Foundation for the Betterment of Carson City Parks and Recreation's Christmas Party will be Sunday, December 8, 2013, at the Bliss Mansion (608 Elizabeth Street) from 2 to 4 p.m., and we will be very pleased if you will come.
Squeek Steele will be performing excerpts of her extensive repertoire on piano. She will take requests, play a few holiday pieces, and, of course, perform pieces from her wide-ranging ragtime repertoire. Tasty finger foods will be accompanied by wine, sparkling cider, or water. If you haven't been inside the Bliss, then this is your opportunity. If you have visited the Bliss, then you know what a marvelous venue it is. We thank our friends, Steve and Cyndy Brenneman, owners of the Bliss Mansion, for sharing this wonderful venue with us again.
Cost for this event is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Please send your check made payable to Carson City Historical Society, to Chuck Saulisberry, 909 Norrie Drive, Carson City, NV 89703 before December 5, 2012.
Our annual meeting will be held as part of the event. Nominations for all offices will be taken from the membership. While the current officers have agreed to continue for the next year they would certainly appreciate some new ideas! Please consider becoming an officer. In addition to the general election, reports will be provided for the membership. Questions will be answered to the best of our ability.
Members who pay their dues for 2014 at the Christmas Party will receive their membership cards, the Society's Bylaws, and a current list of members. Membership is $25 per person or $35 for family and includes our newsletter plus the opportunity to attend historical events.
