Beginning Sunday through Tuesday Carson City Sheriff's Office is stepping up its street patrol and will be on the look out for drunk drivers. A DUI checkpoint will be established in the city limits on Sunday.
The checkpoint will have officers looking for driver’s license and registration violations, as well as providing safety information, said Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
On Tuesday Nov. 19, the sheriff's office will hold saturation patrols. In addition to focusing on impaired drivers, the patrols will also be looking for driving and registration violations.
