The Foundation for the Betterment of Carson City Parks and Recreation is accepting nominations of individuals, organizations, and businesses to be recognized for their contributions to Carson City's parks and recreation.
The selected names will be added to the Memorial Wall at the entrance to the Pony Express Pavilion at Mills Park, followed by an awards ceremony there on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 4:30 p.m. The categories are Organization of the Year, Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Volunteer of the Years.
The public is invited to send award nominations with a brief biography for each nominee to Foundation for the Betterment of Carson City Parks & Recreation, P.O. Box 1864, Carson City, NV 89702-1864 prior to Oct. 14. A selection from the ballot of award nominees will be made at the Foundation's Oct. 14 board meeting. Please submit selections by October 9. Award nominations may also be e-mailed to Dcbugli@aol.com. Please put "FBCCPR Memorial Wall" in the subject line.
Loved ones can also be remembered on the Memorial Wall. If you make a donation of $100 or more to FBCCPR we will add the name of your loved one to a special section of the Memorial Wall. Please provide a small biography along with the donation to the same address as above by Oct. 14, 2013.
