CARSON CITY — Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health Administrator Richard Whitley announced the appointment of Ellen Richardson-Adams as Deputy Administrator of Clinical Services, a new position within the division.
“Ellen is well respected by those she works with, is very experienced in a wide variety of public and behavioral health issues,” said Whitley in a press release.
As Deputy Administrator, Richardson-Adams will have direct oversight of Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services, Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services, Lake’s Crossing and Rural Services.
Previous to becoming Deputy Administrator, Richardson-Adams worked for 10 years for the Nevada Early Intervention Services, most recently serving as the Statewide Clinical Program Manager. Prior to her time with NEIS, she worked for Clark County School District and Nellis Air Force Base.
Richardson-Adams holds a baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and a Masters of Education in Special Education from UNLV. She also completed the Nevada Certified Public Manager program.
