A 21-year-old Carson City man faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge after allegedly hitting his fiance with a water bottle, pouring water on her and shoving her to the ground.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the 1100 block of Woodside Drive at around 8 a.m. regarding a domestic dispute.
Officers met with the victim who was crying. She said during the interview that she and her fiance were arguing when it turned physical. She told deputies that the man hit her in the head with a plastic water bottle and then dumped the water on her, the arrest report states.
She said when her fiance hit her with the plastic bottle on her head she lowered and covered herself on the floor near their dresser where she said she felt him hit her on the back with what she may have been either his fist or the plastic bottle, the arrest report states.
The woman told police that she told her fiance that she was going to call the police. She said her boyfriend grabbed her hand momentarily as she called. The suspect's 17-year-old brother, who witnessed the two arguing, said the man had threatened to break her phone, the arrest report states. The brothers left the residence after the altercation.
The woman showed officers one of her sandals that broke during the struggle and redness to her back, left rear along rib cage, approximately the size of a baseball, the arrest report states. Officers photographed the injury inside the apartment as well as her back, face and hands.
At around 9 a.m. dispatch advised that the man had returned to the residence again, and that the victim reported that he had pushed her and fled the scene, the arrest report stated. Officers detained the man at Stanton and Ladera at around 9:20 a.m. He was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak. He admitted to the argument and to dumping water on the victim, but denied hitting or pushing the woman, the report states.
Officers met again with the victim along with an independent witness who stated he saw the man shove the woman such that she fell against a wall as they argued on the balcony when he returned the residence, the arrest report states.
The man was taken into custody and faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. Bail: $3,137.

Carson City sheriff's deputies arrested a 49-year-old Carson City man at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Carson River Park. The man faces four misdemeanor charges including DUI, driving on a revoked or suspended license, open container, and failure to maintain a single lane.
Officers responded to the area for a report of a vehicle that was driving in the dirt, and into oncoming traffic in the travel lane as well as driving in circles in the parking lot, the arrest report states.
Deputies found two men in the vehicle. The driver was unsteady on his feet and leaning against the back of the SUV, the arrest report states. He admitted to drinking Bud Light beer earlier in the day and voluntarily submitted to standardized field sobriety tests and preliminary breath tests which had illegal per se results, the arrest report states.
He was taken to jail for evidentiary testing. After initially agreeing to voluntarily breath tests, the man failed to give adequate samples. The man agreed to a voluntary blood test. Dispatch advised the man had a suspended license out of Arizona and a revoked license in Nevada. Bail: $2,053.
— A 41-year-old Reno woman was booked into the Carson City Jail on Sept. 3, 8:31 p.m. on a contempt of court warrant issued May 7, 2013 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
— A 48-year-old transient was arrested at William and Rand streets Sept. 3, 4:17 p.m. for being an ex-felon failing to register. Bail: $242.
— A 26-year-old Reno man was arrested early Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of North Carson Street and faces a misdemeanor warrant charge of contempt of court.
Officers arrested the man after a traffic stop at 5:10 a.m. in which he was traveling an estimated speed of 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. The man identified himself and did not have a valid driver's license. A records check indicated he had a warrant out of Sparks Municipal Court. Bail: $412.
— A 44-year-old South Lake Tahoe man was arrested Tuesday, 9:44 p.m. at Mills Park. Officers made contact with two people sitting on a park bench. Officers checked the IDs of the men and it was advised by dispatch that the 44-year-old had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest in Lyon County for failure to appear on a traffic warrant. Bail: $234.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
