A 57-year-old Silver Springs woman faces two misdemeanor charges of battery after she allegedly licked the face of a young boy and kissed the neck of the boy's mother outside a Carson City hair salon.
According to a Carson City Sheriff's Office report, a deputy was dispatched to 3200 block of Retail Drive Aug. 16 at 6:44 p.m. in reference to the incident. The officer made contact with the mother who said the 57-year-old woman approached she and her 5-year-old son, licking the right side of the boy's face from the jaw line to his hair line, the arrest report states.
The mother said the woman, unknown to both she and her son, then kissed her on the right side of her neck three times. The mother said the kissing woman told them she loved them and God bless, the arrest report states.
The mother reported the woman and her behavior because she feared for the health of her son. And, as the mother stated to the officer: "Who licks a 5-year-old child's face?"
The boy demonstrated the kiss to the officer, dragging his right hand along the right side of his face from the jaw line to the right side hair line. The boy appeared slightly confused at what happened but was able to demonstrate the woman's actions, the arrest report states.
The arresting officer made contact with the woman accused of licking who sat in a vehicle after deputies were called. The woman would "only relate to me that she only kissed the young boy on top of the head and nothing else" the arrest report states. The woman revealed her faith and said that is just how she is.
The woman was placed under citizens arrest by the boy's mother. She faces charges of unwanted licking of the boy's face and kissing the woman's neck, both misdemeanor battery charges. Bail: $2,000.
