Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch reports a handful of lightning-ignited fires burning Saturday evening in the northern Nevada region, including fires in the Pine Nuts and east of Carson City in Brunswick Canyon.
The largest of the fires is burning in the Brunswick Canyon area, five to 10 miles from any structure, and was said to be growing at a moderate rate, according to a Sierra Front spokeswoman. As far as air attack, one single engine air tanker was dropping loads on the fire Saturday night. As of 9 p.m. the fire was reported to be around 15 acres. A ground crew has been ordered and are working their way into the fire area.
