Wildlife biologist Jenni Jeffers will release an owl and provide a free public presentation at Mormon Station State Historic Park in Genoa on Wednesday, August 14, at 7:30 p.m.
Jeffers will show several live native owls as she discusses the life cycle of owls, their habits, habitats and how the public can help in their conservation.
Bring the family and a picnic dinner to enjoy the presentation and take advantage of this opportunity to see these spectacular nocturnal birds up close. No photographs or dogs are allowed. The programs runs until 9 p.m.
Meet outside, in the group pavilion area of the park. Mormon Station State Historic Park in Genoa is a 20 minute drive from Carson City via U.S Highway 395, and is 20 minutes from South Lake Tahoe via state Route 207 and Foothill Road. Genoa is an hour south of Reno via U.S. Highway 395.
