If you've turned on your television recently, you have no doubt seen the bevy of trials that have caught the public eye. Trials and the jury process are nothing new. But the drama has become somewhat of a live soap opera to many.
Carson City will get a chance to peek inside a jury room popularized in television, film and on stage. Proscenium Players, Inc will give Carson City a version worthy of the capitol of Nevada — one updated to the current day, filled with anger, passion and intrigue. “12 Angry Jurors” gives audience members a realistic peek inside a jury room and into the anger, conflict and passion which comes into play when 12 people who have never met each other before decide the guilt or innocence of the accused.
While some language will be present, if filmed, the show would carry more of a PG-13 rating. Audiences will be able to see the drama unfold August 16 - 18 and 23 - 25 at the Silver State Charter School Performing Arts Center located at 900 Mallory Way in Carson City. The show begins at 7:00 pm Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 pm, during the run.
"12 Angry Jurors" is a passionate stage play set inside a very heated (and hot) jury room. Mixed personalities collide as they decide the fate of a young man accused of stabbing his father to death. Tickets can be purchased at ShowTix4U.com. Prices are $15 for students, seniors and PPI members, $18 in advance when purchased online or $20 at the door on the day of the show.
